Hi, we (Sandy and Thom) have been in a slow motion but inevitable move to Maine, finally here in St. George, our little perch on the sea’s edge we’ve named Wild Air.
Sandy is a curious and inquisitive story master, an OCD warrior, crafts merchant and artist of sorts – she likes to say, “I didn’t find art, art found me.”
Thom is a repentant adman, adjunct professor, author and anarchist. His job now is – “to inspire a new generation towards fixing all the shit me and my generation broke”.
Welcome to our page … a place where we hope to tell some stories, share some art and essays, and chronicle the journey of our love in its resurgent wanderings towards here from away.
In the summer of 2022 we took our first leap to living in Maine, buying an ancient cottage on a rocky cliff above Sennebec Lake in Union. Flash forward to the late Spring of 2023 and here we are, in a log cabin on Tenants Harbor, with twenty-five feet of precious sea shore. In very different ways, but reaching back to our late teens and early 20s – we’re both in our late 60’s! – Maine has been calling us back over and over again. We only met in late 2020, fell in love within weeks and married in Ireland in April of 2022. We invite you to explore our posts and musings as our shared story continues to unfold.
